About Role:

We are looking for an experienced accountant in Dubai UAE. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention for details

Responsibilities:

Here are the main things they will do:

  1. Monitor and evaluate the accounts team in a division that fosters expansion and looks after funds and connections with insurance providers.
  2. Work closely with the stakeholders to drive high-quality month-end closure within strict deadlines.
  3. Identify and understand the strategy, put the finance handbook into practice, and help create and apply internal controls.
  4. Coordinate with external & internal auditors and ensure timely closure of audits.
  5. Responsible for ensuring compliance with VAT laws and filing of returns and also expertise in submitting reports.
  6. Manage Banks, Monthly Bank reconciliations and ensure timely payments of expenses (Planned as per cash flow position)
  7. Preparation of payment proposal, making payments and allocations of policies accordingly and payment for the commission of sub-brokers

Preferred Requirements:

  • Academic Experience: Any additional/relevant experience in an academic or higher education setting would be a plus.
